Anlässlich der Toy Fair New York wurden auch wieder die Gewinner der Toy of the Year Awards 2018 bekannt gegeben. Und der dänische Spielwarenhersteller kann sich gleich dreifach freuen, denn das Unternehmen bekam in diesem Jahr gleich drei Auszeichnungen überreicht. Damit konnte LEGO seit dem Jahr 2000, hier wurden die Toy of the Years Awars zum ersten Mal verliehen, insgesamt 20 Preise gewinnen.
Construction Toy of the Year: LEGO Star Wars BB-8
This LEGO incarnation of the diminutive BB-8 droid from the new movie trilogy makes the perfect gift for any Star Wars or LEGO fan. Turn one wheel at the side to rotate the detailed head, and another to open the access hatch and extend the welding torch. BB8 und Lego Boost nachvollziehbar… Der Falke jedoch nicht. Was soviel kostet kann kein Toy of the Year sein wie ich finde, denn Toys sind eigentlich ursprünglich für Kinder, das kann sich selbst ein Erwachsener nur mit sparen leisten und ne graue Maus ist er auch.
Dass die Kategorie Konstruktionsspielzeug an Lego geht, ist absehbar und alles andere wäre für eine den Markt derart dominierende Firma vernichtend. Aber wieso es ausgerechnet das set geworden ist kann ich nicht nachvollziehen… obwohl das Jahr recht schwach war.
Ich glaube bei Speciality Toy wird wohl ein anderer Bewertungsmaßstab gelten. Ausgenommen der gesundheitlichen Unbedenklichkeit der Materialien fällt das Teil hinsichtlich jeder Messlatte, die man an ein Kinderspielzeug legen kann, gnadenlos durch.
Deshalb ja auch specialty. Und besonders ist er durchaus, sowohl was Preis, als auch das Modell selbst betrifft. Und Preis / Verfügbarkeit… außen vor, das Set ist schon schick gemacht. Ich wollte immer den alten UCS Falken haben, und habe in damals verpennt. Im nachhinein bin ich froh, denn die neue Version ist in Sachen Optik klar besser. Und die UCS Sets sind i.d.R. auch kein Spielzeug, sondern nur Hingucker.
aus Sicht einer upgedateten Wiederveröffentlichung sollte man damit meiner Meinung nach aber auch keinen Preis gewinnen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
wenn man so an die sache rangeht, dann dürfte es aber in vielen bereichen nie irgendwelche preisverleihungen geben.
beispielsweise im automobil-bereich.
schließlich hat quasi jedes fahrzeug ein vorgänger-modell.
und so seh ich das auch beim mf. nicht als wiederveröffentlichung, sondern als nachfolge-modell.
